Al-taawun is a non-profit organisation based in Northampton, Established in 2011 by the selfless actions of few individuals with the support of Somali community in Northampton.
Taawun Education Trust is To provide a strong, collective and credible voice for the Somali communities in Northampton and eventually surrounding areas and to articulate the aspirations and interests of Somali communities. it also provides advice and information about welfare rights, education, advice and guidance for with child’s with autism , and other essential services
to advance the education of the public by means of but not exclusively the provision of the language classes facilities for supplementary education community learning programmes and any such activities as committee think fit.
Our services
Madarash
Al-Taawun Madarash, is for children between the ages of 5–17. The aims is to bring up children in an Islamic environment, preparing them to leave as young Muslim adults, ready for adulthood with the essential knowledge adaab (manners) and experience required of a Muslim at this age.
Saturday football
Saturday football is incredibly important for young people, especially after a week of studies. It offers a refreshing break from screens and gaming, giving their bodies the exercise they need to stay healthy. Beyond the physical benefits, Saturday football provides a great opportunity for social engagement, helping young people build friendships and teamwork skills. It’s a fun and active way to unwind, recharge, and connect with others.
Sisters Class
Our sisters comprises highly skilled and qualified female Quran and Islamic teachers.
They bring a wealth of expertise to ensure a comprehensive and effective Qura’an and islamic Aqeeda.
Marriage service
Al-Taawun, we provide advice and guidance those who want to marriage and divorce. We can arrange for one of our Imams to perform your Nikkah (wedding) ceremony or you can speak to us confidentially regarding divorce or other family matters. Please visit us NM&IC for further advice..

About Us
Al-Taawun Education trust is a UK based charity, Established in Northampton in 2011 by the selfless actions of few individuals with the support of Somali community in Northampon, may Allah (SWT) reward them all. It is also the Islamic Centre & Mosque in Area where Friday’s Khutba and Islamic seminars were delivered in English, Somali and Arabic for the diverse, multi-cultural Muslim community that it served from its opening in 2013.
EID at PARK
Events
The Eid Festival in Northampton is organised by Northampton Mosque and Islamic Centre(NM&IC), a UK-registered charity.. For more information about NM&IC, please contact NM&IC. The ‘Eid Festival’ at park is a non-profitable event offered freely to all communities of Northampton irrespective of their gender, age, faith, colour, race, and social background.
It occurs twice a year, i.e., Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha. The festival starts with the ‘Eid Prayer’ followed by the ‘Eid Speech’ and a full-day festival according to the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAAW). The EF organisers and volunteers work entirely free of charge.
