About Us
Al-Taawun Education trust is a UK based charity, Established in Northampton in 2011 by the selfless actions of few individuals with the support of Somali community in Northampon, may Allah (SWT) reward them all. It is also the Islamic Centre & Mosque in Area where Friday’s Khutba and Islamic seminars were delivered in English, Somali and Arabic for the diverse, multi-cultural Muslim community that it served from its opening in 2013.
Al-Taawun is a non-profit organisation, registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (Registration No. 1140708).
to advance the education of the public by means of but not exclusively the provision of the language classes facilities for supplementary education community learning programmer and any such activities as committee think fit.
To relieve financial hardship among among the poor and and needy in the UK and abroad by means of, but inclusively, providing or paying for items, services and facilities, including the provision of advice, food, clean water and accommodation.
to help young people, especially but not exclusively through leisure time and recreational activities, so as to develop their capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and as good citizens.
to advance the religion of Islam, by means of but not exclusively, promoting the teachings and tenets of Islam provision of worship, provision of facilities for Islam education and provision of marriages services, in accordance with the teaching of Qur’an and the Sunnah of the prophet Mohamed (PBUH) as defined and interpreted by the ahl sunnah.
Located in town Centre, Northampton, one of the most impoverished town in Northampton-shire, the Center has been successfully serving the local Muslim community and the wider public for over 10 years.
